
Celebrate World Orangutan Day at the Oregon Zoo.
World Orangutan Day is an opportunity for visitors to celebrate and learn about these extraordinary apes. Primate exploration stations will offer visitors a better understanding of the great apes, and kids can try on an orangutan arm suit to experience a what it feels like to have an eight-foot arm span. Throughout the day, keeper staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide visitors with actions they can take to protect orangutans.
Schedule of events
- Orangutan arm suit and Primate Exploration Station: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Keeper talks and enrichment: 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
